Driver installation says "This platform is not supported." Fix: You downloaded the wrong version (e.g., 32-bit vs 64-bit). OptiPlex 3040 is 64-bit only for modern OS.
Screen flickering or no second monitor. Fix: Install Intel HD Graphics driver directly from Dell (not Intel’s generic version). Disable Panel Self-Refresh in Intel Graphics Command Center.
