This paper examines the evolution of K-pop from a domestic genre to a global socio-cultural phenomenon. Focusing on the period 2018–2026, it analyzes three core pillars: (1) the idol training and production system, (2) digital fandom and transnational consumption, and (3) the role of government soft power (Hallyu). Findings indicate that K-pop’s success is predicated on a hybrid model of Western pop structures and uniquely Korean collectivist fan engagement. After a thorough search of academic databases (Google
