Using unblocked soundboards occupies a gray area. While bypassing filters violates most school acceptable use policies (AUPs), the intent matters. A student disrupting class with airhorns is clearly abusing the tool. Conversely, a drama club using an unblocked soundboard during a lunch rehearsal has a legitimate educational purpose.

Users click a button to instantly play a sound, which may range from humorous memes ("bruh," airhorn) to functional audio (applause, game show buzzers).
