Sharad Ritu Month //top\\ May 2026

Heavenly.

Don't sleep with your head directly under the moonlight on Sharad Purnima (Ayurveda says it can cause headaches). Do wake up early for a walk. Do eat the malpua . Do not miss the Diwali lights. sharad ritu month

Having just transitioned out of the heavy humidity of Varsha Ritu (Monsoon), I’ve spent the last several weeks immersed in Sharad Ritu (roughly mid-September to mid-November). Here is my honest review of this celebrated season. 1. The Weather (Perfect 10/10) Sharad Ritu is the Goldilocks of seasons—not too hot, not too cold. The sky clears to a brilliant, deep blue. The oppressive humidity vanishes, replaced by a crisp, cool breeze. The sun feels warm on your skin, not scorching. For outdoor living, this is peak performance. Heavenly

This isn't just a season; it's a reward for surviving the heat and rain. It is nostalgic, hopeful, and undeniably beautiful. Do eat the malpua

The Sharad Purnima (full moon) is the headline act. The moonlight is so clear and cool that mythology says it showers amrit (nectar). But even during the day, the light is golden and sharp. Every photo looks filtered. Shadows are long, and sunsets are fiery.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

If the monsoons are the heart’s release, Sharad Ritu is the soul’s reward.
