An is a colloquial term for three distinct concepts: (1) a biological state in which an insect is physically entrapped or behaviorally controlled by a parasite or predator; (2) a fictional containment facility designed to hold sapient insects or human-sized arthropods; or (3) a laboratory apparatus used to restrain insects for observation or experimentation.
