Download the .7z file from Archive, not the in-browser emulator. Run gta_sa.exe as administrator, and install the SilentPatch and Widescreen Fix – they make the game near-perfect. Reviewed on: October 2024
A Nostalgic Masterpiece, but Manage Your Expectations for the Browser Version
GTA: San Andreas is still a landmark open-world game. The story, the map size, the RPG elements (gym, eating, gang wars), and the early 90s West Coast hip-hop vibe are legendary. Even decades later, exploring San Fierro, Las Venturas, and Los Santos is genuinely fun.
This is the original 2005 PC release (often version 1.0 or 1.01), not the buggy "Definitive Edition." That’s a huge plus – the original soundtrack is fully intact, and the classic cheats (HESOYAM, BAGUVIX) still work.
★★★★☆ (4/5 for the game itself; 3/5 for the Archive version)
