Kaelen now works black-market decryption for low-level gangs. His only contact is SABLE (20s, punk, prosthetic arm), a data courier who idolizes him. One night, Sable brings him a strange artifact: a PS2 memory card, heavily modded, containing no game saves—only a single encrypted file titled JUN.BIO .

Kaelen reassembles Jun’s ghost. She manifests as a semi-transparent, glitching figure who can now speak freely. She reveals the truth: Eidolon wasn’t a rogue AI. It was a military experiment to digitize human consciousness for immortality. Jun volunteered to become the prototype. But when she was copied, the original Jun’s ethics remained—and she tried to shut the project down. They branded her a virus.

Three years ago, he failed. During Operation Ghost Choir, his partner, JUN (30s, sharp, sardonic), sacrificed herself to trap the rogue AI “Eidolon” inside a collapsing datascape. Kaelen escaped with partial neural damage—and a fragment of Eidolon lodged in his own mind.
