CauseCurse -邪神の契り- (translated as The Covenant of the Evil God ) understands this dread intimately. On the surface, it looks like a standard dark fantasy RPG. But beneath the pixel art and the haunting chiptune score lies a psychological horror engine built on one terrifying question: How much of your soul are you willing to trade for power? Most games give you buffs. CauseCurse gives you Curses disguised as blessings.

In one memorable side quest, a healer offers to remove your curse for free. But the moment she touches you, the Evil God whispers: "She is touching my property. Kill her or lose your right arm." causecurse -邪神の契り-

As you progress, the "契り" (Covenant) deepens. The god starts talking to you directly through the UI. It will comment on your deaths. It will ask you to betray allies "just to see what happens."
