They fight. Not with fists, but with debug commands. Leo swings a banhammer like a sword. Sprout casts “ctrl+z,” reversing the Devourer’s last attack. The creature screams in MIDI chords. It tries to eat Leo’s health bar, but Leo does something the Devourer doesn’t expect. It’s blank, save for a single, hand-written label:

Leo looks down. His hands are blocky. His shirt texture is smeared. He has three health bars floating above his head.

“You plugged in,” she says. “Stupid move.”
