Arabic Khutbah For — Jummah

Then the khaṭīb makes du‘ā’ for the Muslims, for strength of Islam, and for forgiveness, ending with: Indeed Allah commands justice, good conduct, and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality, bad conduct, and oppression. He admonishes you that you may take heed. So remember Allah, He will remember you. Be grateful to Him, and He will increase you. And the remembrance of Allah is greatest, and Allah knows what you do. May this khutbah be of benefit. It follows the authentic Prophetic structure and addresses a timeless theme—reminding believers to use their time before it is gone.

O Muslims, fear Allah and know that time is life. Allah Almighty says: “And He is the One Who has made the night and day successive for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.” (Qur’an 25:62) Every day that passes is a part of our lives that will never return. O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]. O mankind, fear your Lord who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and spread from them many men and women. And fear Allah through whom you ask one another, and [fear severing] family ties. Indeed Allah is ever watchful over you. Then the khaṭīb makes du‘ā’ for the Muslims,

First Khutbah الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ، وَنَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللَّهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ.
